1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to every service you order from Global Process Server. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
2. We are not a law firm
Global Process Server is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Information on this website, in quotes and in our correspondence is general information about service-of-process procedures. It is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer about your case. You and your counsel are responsible for deciding which method of service to use and whether it meets the requirements of your court.
3. Quotes and orders
Quotes are based on the information you give us and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing. If the facts turn out to be different from what was described (for example, a different address, extra attempts, a locate search or a translation requirement), we will tell you before any additional charge is incurred.
4. Your responsibilities
You confirm that you are authorised to request service of the documents, that the documents are complete and correct, and that the information you give us about the person or business to be served is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for court filing deadlines and for filing the proof of service we provide.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are due as stated on your quote or invoice. Some services, including most international requests, require payment in advance. Fees charged by foreign authorities, courts, translators or other third parties are passed on at cost unless your quote says otherwise. Unpaid invoices may delay the release of proofs of service.
6. Timing and results
We give our best estimate of how long a service will take, but we cannot guarantee timing or outcome. This is especially true for requests handled by foreign Central Authorities, courts or other officials, which work to their own schedules. We cannot guarantee that a person will be found or served, or that a court will accept a particular method of service.
7. Cancellations
You may cancel an order at any time by telling us in writing. You will be charged for work already done and for third-party fees already paid or committed. Fees paid to foreign authorities are usually non-refundable.
8. Confidentiality
We treat your documents and case information as confidential and use them only to provide the services you order, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or failures caused by third parties such as foreign authorities, courts, postal services, or by events outside our reasonable control.
10. Use of this website
The content of this website belongs to Global Process Server and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. We try to keep the information accurate and up to date, but laws and procedures change and we do not guarantee that every page is current. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled by the courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you place an order applies to that order. Questions: email vilsonwebdesign@gmail.com, call 855-505-9155, or write to Global Process Server, 730 Arizona Avenue, Suite 200, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
