One point of contact
Service of process is governed state by state. A method that is valid in one state can be challenged in the next, and a defective service can cost you weeks or a default judgment. We handle that complexity for you.
Send us the papers once. We check the rules for the place of service, assign a qualified local server, keep you updated after each attempt, and send back proof of service that's ready to file.
How it works
Upload your PDFs and the address through our request form, or call our docket team.
We confirm who may serve and which methods are valid where the person or business is located.
A local server makes attempts at varied times, with updates to you after each one.
You receive a signed affidavit or proof of service, and we can file it with the court.
Methods of service
We use the method the court and the local rules allow, starting with personal service wherever possible.
Handing the documents directly to the named person. The strongest form of service and accepted everywhere.

Turnaround
Timing depends on the location and how easy the person is to find. We confirm what's realistic before we start.
Routine service with a first attempt within a few business days and follow-up attempts at different times of day.
Priority dispatch and a faster attempt schedule for cases with a hearing or filing date coming up.
For emergencies such as restraining orders or imminent deadlines, where a server is available.
Common questions
No. We manage multi-state assignments from one point of contact and use vetted local servers in each state, so you get the same communication and documentation everywhere.
It depends on the state, and sometimes the county. Some places allow any adult who is not a party to the case; others require a sheriff, a court-appointed server, or a registered, certified or licensed process server. We assign a server who meets the rule where service happens.
We vary the days and times of attempts, use stakeouts where appropriate, and run a skip trace if the address is stale. If personal service still isn't possible, we document every attempt so you can ask the court for substitute or alternative service.
A signed affidavit or proof of service in the format the court expects, describing who was served, when, where and how. We can also file it with the court for you.
